What is P.O.A.P?

What on earth  does P.O.A.P stand for?

Your Perception will effect your Opinion and your opinion will effect your Attitude and your attitude will effect your Performance.

“Two men look out through the same bars: One sees the mud, and one sees the stars.”- Frederick Langbridge,

A Cluster of Quiet Thoughts You can perceive things in many different ways, for instance, if you come second in a race, you have the choice to rejoice in your accomplishment and push to do better next time and win, or you can let your defeat stop you from even trying again in the future and feed into your own excuses.
Life is all about choices, we are a sum total of what we choose to do or not do as the case may be. You can choose to have a pessimist’s view and live your life in a self-defeated way or you may decide to take the optimist’s route and decide to take a more challenging and fulfilling life experience.

So why is it important to have a positive NOW mentality?

One good reason is, having a positive mental attitude has been linked to positive moods and better social skills; to academic achievement, athletic advancement, straight through to high achievements within the military, career, political success; to popularity; to good health and even to long life free from trauma. In contrast to the rates of depression in people that are pessimistic, these rates have never been higher. It affects people of all ages, people groups.
The average age this effects over the last few years has dropped from 30 to 15 years of age. So depression is no longer something associated to middle-aged housewife’s

.
Here are some reasons that demonstrate why being an optimist is very beneficial

An Optimist will always expect the best. Pessimists on the other hand also expects the worst, if something can go wrong it will! This type of mindset undermines everything they do, and stops them from moving forward. The optimists on the other hand are confronted with the same challenges of this world, what differs is the way they respond to them. They tend to believe defeat is just a temporary setback and victory is just around the corner. Optimists tend to focus on solutions  for the current problem at hand. They use ‘positive reinterpretation.’ In other words, they turn a negative situation around and view it as a learning experience. Such people are unfazed by bad situations, they see them as a challenge and try harder.

They won’t say “things will never get better,” “If I failed once, it will happen again” and “If I experience misfortune in one part of my life, then it will happen in my whole life.”

Positive expectancies of optimists also allow them to draw from from those memories if they ever find themselves in new unfamilier places, sudden tragedies and unlikely turn of events. If they fall, they will stand up. They see opportunities instead of obstacles.

People respond positively to optimists

Optimists are proactive and less dependent on others for their happiness. They find no need to control or manipulate people. They usually draw people towards them. Their optimistic view of the world can be contagious and influence those they are with. Optimism  is the thing that attracts people, know matter what community you belong to. Those who share a positive outlook are generally accepted while those who spread gloom, panic and doom are avoided. In life, these people often win elections; get the best jobs, have a large social following and get sought for advice.

When the going gets tough, optimists get tougher

Optimists typically deal with stress alot better than the pessinist. In contrast, pessimists are likely to react to stressful events by denying that they exist or by avoiding dealing with problems. Pessimists are more likely to quit trying when things get difficult. The optimist has staying power, they just don’t give up easily, they have patience and are always working their way closer to that goals they have set for themselves.

Optimists are healthier and live longer

Medical research has justified that simple pleasures and a positive outlook can cause a measurable increase in the body’s ability to fight disease. Optimists’ health is unusually good. They age well because they see the need for good amounts of exercise, nutrition and spirtual health and they general outlive those people prone to negative thoughts.

So why not be an optimist today? And think positively towards a more fulfilled life.

Why not look forward to success in all you choose to do? Why not be resilient?

Like everybody else you are going to have ups and downs but it is not the falling down that is the problem, it is the staying down.

Pick yourself up, dust off your clothes and continue your journey. You will quickly realise that your example will be an inspiration to others.

To your success

About Jason

I have a passion to help people break out of the mind set that general society tries to impose on people, which is settling for a life that is just "Good".

I believe "Good" is the worst enemy of "Best" and if people would just grasp a hold of that, they would turn their lives around and really live life to the full.

If I can help enough people get what they want, I will not have to worry about what I want because the knock on effect of helping others is, your needs get met also.

I have a wife and 4 children and what I am building is to secure their futures, so as I help more people, I have the pleasure of seeing families built up and at the same time building up my own family.

A very famous book states: "A wise man leaves an inheritance to his children", so as I build for the future of my family, I guess I am gaining in wisdom.

I offer my time and my expertise to anyone who is sold out to their own success, however I waste very little time with people just give excuses, because if people are truly hungry, I should not have to convince them to eat!

The global law of Sowing and Reaping states, the more you give, is the more you will receive. So anyone wanting to build a strong business, but not willing to gave and serve others, will not be successful. This is why I love the home based home industry, because this philosophy is what propels it forward.
